Vox Spectrum integrates DGVox Voice Loggers with Siemens Emergency Response System
The Customer:
Siemens Information systems Ltd. (SISL) is a leading “Systems Integrator and Total Solutions Provider” offering high end consultancy in areas like Healthcare, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Utilities to name a few.
The Challenge:
SISL had developed an Emergency response system for a state police force. The product involved management of the entire operations of the emergency response services. SISL had developed the entire software requirement with the exception of the integrated voice logger and they had invited Vox Spectrum to address this need.
In this requirement the system would be totally controlled by the Siemens software. Operators had the discretion to enable or disable recording of the call. There were customer parameters from the Siemens system that needed to be stored along with the call. Further Siemens wanted all data stored in their central Oracle database.
The Solution:
Vox provided a 32 channel digital/ analogue hybrid system that recorded calls to the agents automatically. As the call was being recorded the Siemens software wrote the custom parameters for the DGVox system. When the call was transferred to the dispatcher, the dispatcher had the option to continue or end the recording of the radio conversations.
